The Twelve-Week Calendar

Both tracks, night by night, on real dates. A working draft for Mr Ali to check against the academy's own term and examination calendar before the start date is fixed.

THE SHAPE OF THE WEEK

Five evenings, one session each

The two tracks sit on different nights rather than back to back. It costs one more evening a week, and it buys something worth far more: neither group is ever taught second, by a tired instructor, and the one-to-one proposal reviews that Track A depends on get real hours instead of leftovers.

END Saturday 28 November — Demonstration Evening. Students present their work to parents and to invited local businesses. This is where Batch 2 sells itself.
BEFORE THIS IS FIXED

Four things Mr Ali must confirm

  1. Cambridge examination weeks. This draft assumes no collision. If any O or A-Level session falls inside 7 September – 27 November, those weeks must be moved before the calendar is published to families. This is the single most likely reason the dates change.
  2. Public holidays and academy closures falling on a teaching evening, so replacement nights are agreed in advance rather than improvised.
  3. Room availability on all five evenings — the large upstairs classroom, 6:00 to 8:30 PM, held for twelve weeks.
  4. The Saturday slots for the group bank appointment (19 September) and the Demonstration Evening (28 November).

If the start date slips past mid-September

The programme should move to a January start rather than run into late December. Momentum from the parents who enquired this week is worth protecting — but a batch that finishes in the middle of examination season delivers its most important phase, the supervised hunting weeks, to students who are revising. Better a full January batch than a compromised November one.
